Simon Soon is a curator and writer on contemporary art in Southeast Asia currently based in Kuala Lumpur. He has curated a number of exhibitions including the Bombay Sapphire Art Projects 2008, CUT09: New Photography from Southeast Asia and the 3rd Pyongyang International Arts Festival in Kuala Lumpur 2010. He is a co-founder and managing editor of ARTERI (http://www.arterimalaysia.com/) a visual arts blog on contemporary practices in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. His interests span from the performative/participatory/collaborative approaches to contemporary art as well as creative engagement with Web 2.0. He has participated in a number of conferences and residencies overseas, including the Japan Foundation JENYSES Programme and the Manchester International Festival Talent Campus for Cultural Producers.
Mayumi Hirano is a curator and program coordinator of the Koganecho Area Management Center since 2009. After completing her graduate studies at Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, she has worked as a curatorial intern at New Museum, NY, curatorial staff at the Yokohama Triennale 2005, and researcher for Asia Art Archive. She is currently working on to develop an artist-in-residence program with a unique touch in Koganecho.
